
Announcing the New Editor ofJCW
The Journal of College
Writing
is a refereed
publication of the Louisiana Association for College Composition listed
in the MLA
International Bibliography.
It is designed to promote and encourage the effective teaching of
writing in institutions of higher education.
JCW will disseminate information and opinions on relevant aspects of
teaching and learning, particularly as they relate to
Louisiana.
Submissions may include, but are not restricted to, the following
topics as they relate to composition, rhetoric (both expository and
literary), and creative, business, and technical writing:
- discussion of trends, issues, or policies
- research and theory
- pedagogy
- bibliographies
- description and/or evaluation of curricular and
instructional
matters
- articles from up-and-coming scholars
- reviews, news, and notes
- poetry, short fiction and short creative non-fiction
- other issues which encourage excellence in the teaching of
writing
A prize of $250.00 will be awarded to the best theoretical essay
published in JCW.
