Higher Education for Louisiana and
Dr. Kathleen Blake Yancey, Immediate Past Chair, Conference of College
Composition and Communication (CCCC)
The chair of the 2005 LACC conference, "How, Then, Shall We Teach? The
Future of Composition Instruction in Louisiana," invites proposals for
20 minute
individual presentations and 3 or 4 member panels in the following
areas:
· The present and future state of composition
instruction in Louisiana
· Training and mentoring our present and
future colleagues
· Composition research and/or pedagogy
· Writing program administration
· Computer-assisted writing
· Technical writing
· Elementary, middle, and secondary education
writing pedagogy
· Creative writing, especially creative
non-fiction and the essay
· Other issues that encourage excellence in
the teaching of writing
We are especially interested in proposals that reflect on the changing
shape of composition in Louisiana as we react to the changes in our
society.
